The 8th World Water Forum was held in 2018 at the Brasilia National Stadium in Brazil. The World Water Council (WWC), held every three years by the World Water Forum, is an on water that has been held with the participation of governments, experts, NGOs, and more worldwide to discuss 21st-century water issues and widely spread their importanceinternational conference and exhibition. Despite having the most challenging water-management conditions among OECD countries, the Republic of Korea took part in this event as a leading nation in the water-resource management industry through advanced technologies—integrated water-resource management, smart-water-city projects, and more—and could widely spread Korea's technology.

Chris & Partners' ‘international forum planning’ highlights

Chris & Partners the World Water Forum Korea Pavilion's international forum planning—took it on and handled everything from pavilion construction to operation and promotion. Even in the new but unfamiliar environment of Brazil, with a sense of responsibility, actively taking part in the programs and events held within the pavilion, we could lead the international water-forum planning and execution to more than 100% success.

1. Communication and cooperation

Through smooth communication with the local construction company, we successfully carried out construction. For overseas forum-event planning, cooperation with local companies is a very important part, and Chris & Partners' unique know-how, with experience planning many international events, allowed us to lead it well.

2. Pavilion operation

- Space utilization : We ran various programs in a limited space; it was event planning that could maximize space efficiency by creating a shared space transformable by purpose to run seminars, receptions, promotions, and events. - Material procurement : As it was an overseas event held in Brazil, there were many cases where material procurement wasn't as smooth as in Korea. So we could run a smooth international forum by meticulously preparing in advance the list and quantity of materials needed for each space of the pavilion or for program operation.

3. Pavilion promotion

- Events : the World Water Forum Korea Pavilion To raise the inflow of participants to the booth, an Instagram hashtag event, a hanbok experience, Korean calligraphy, and other on-site promotion events were run. In particular, the hanbok experience and Korean calligraphy drew an explosive response, with people lining up to wait. - Multipurpose station operation : the World Water Forum Korea Pavilion By providing Korean sweets, herbal tea, and the like to participants from around the world visiting it, we could raise the inflow rate. In particular, staff personally wore hanbok and took photos together with participants, also bringing a promotional effect for the Republic of Korea itself.

4. VIP and media visits

- VIP visits : Korean Prime Minister Lee Nak-yon and the Prime Minister of Morocco and other VIPs the World Water Forum Korea Pavilion visited it. Even with VIP visits, we demonstrated adept handling ability, conducting briefings on the technologies of the participating institutions and companies within the Korea Pavilion, and could smoothly handle even the flow-line organization around the pavilion. - Media visits : Media outlets from around the world also visited the Korea Pavilion to record the site and conduct interviews. The Korea Pavilion staff also actively responded to the media interviews, making it event planning that could promote the Korea Pavilion and the Republic of Korea.
