Do you remember 2022 Seoul Meta Week, Asia's largest metaverse conference, held over three days at The Shilla Seoul this past October? 🙄 With about 1,000 on-site participants, 2022 Seoul Meta Week was an event where diverse players—metaverse and blockchain experts, NFT artists, and more—gathered around blockchain technologies like the metaverse, NFTs, and Web3 to discuss the change, insights, and value the metaverse brings. Chris & Partners co-hosts Seoul Meta Week, a broad, diverse tech festa around the digital economy, every year.

Chris & Partners, ahead of preparing the upcoming 2023 Seoul Meta Week and aiming to plan a more segmented, trendy tech festa, visited in person the world's largest art-culture event, ‘ComplexCon 2022,’ the hub of on/offline digital art culture! Here's our vivid on-site report. 😊
What is ComplexCon?
Held each fall in Long Beach, USA, the world's largest art convention, ComplexCon, is a global art-culture event spanning fashion, music, and art. Also called ‘a festival for hypebeasts (people highly sensitive or quick to react to trends),’ ComplexCon lets you encounter the latest, fast-changing culture and trends! Living up to its name, it has recently established itself as a world-class event leading metaverse, NFT, and Web3 art culture across offline and digital.

ComplexCon is a large-scale event with some 100 fashion brands and the artists and musicians who lead pop culture, and each year it selects that year's art director to co-host the event! This year's art director was Verdy, a top figure in Japan's street-fashion world, well known for ‘Girls Don't Cry.’ 😊
Off to the USA to meet ComplexCon!
Have you traveled abroad since COVID?! Recently, overseas travel has become possible to many countries—Japan, Guam, Singapore, Vietnam, Europe, the USA, and more. Chris & Partners visited Senegal, Africa, this past March for the 2022 9th World Water Forum Korea Pavilion construction and operation, and since then made this overseas trip in person to feel ComplexCon's vivid scene firsthand!

Will Call? Will Come!
ComplexCon was held at the US Long Beach Convention Center. For smooth entry, Chris & Partners visited after buying tickets in advance from the ComplexCon official website! After a simple sign-up on the site, ticket purchase was easy. Before entering proper, shall we head to WILL CALL ENTRANCE to pick up the tickets bought in advance?
After confirming the tickets bought in advance, we received entry wristbands at WILL CALL! For full entry, we went through a belongings check and finally could enter the convention hall. Due to the various entry-verification steps, last year entry reportedly took up to two hours. Fortunately, Chris & Partners could enter the venue without waiting too long. Following the music filling the convention hall deep inside, the long-awaited world's largest art-culture event, ‘ComplexCon 2022,’ finally unfolded before us!
