Full Recap of ComplexCon 2022, the World's Largest Art-Culture Event | 02

Hello, this is Chris & Partners. 😊

We're back with Part 2 of our vivid recap of ComplexCon 2022, held this past November! If you missed Part 1, we recommend a binge right now. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ So let's dive into Part 2, starting from the entrance!

ComplexCon: the more you know, the more you see

Chris & Partners plans and runs Seoul Meta Week, Asia's largest metaverse conference. You know the saying ‘the more you know, the more you see’? As a global event organizer that leads everything from event planning to operation, Chris & Partners sets out to experience broader, more diverse event scenes firsthand. To offer you an even richer event experience, we visited the world's largest art-culture event, ‘ComplexCon 2022,’ in person—and aren't you already excited for Seoul Meta Week 2023, which will feel fresh with the know-how gained from this overseas event visit?

ComplexCon: COMPLEX itself, in the flesh!

The moment you enter the convention hall, ComplexCon's signature photo zone overwhelms the atmosphere. Can you imagine the scale of an event where some 100 fashion brands and the artists and musicians who lead pop culture take part each year?! Visiting in person, we thought—what a perfectly chosen name, ComplexCon! Because the event was literally COMPLEX itself. From a signature photo zone that brightly welcomes you, to each brand's distinct events and booths, conferences run in the same space, podcasts communicating with people, and games and hip-hop performances—every element ran together in harmony. 😎

Can you feel the atmosphere of this fresh, unimaginable all-in-one entertainment event for young people that we'd only heard about? It was a gathering of brands, artists, and experts across a wide range of fields—not just streetwear but art culture, digital art, and more.

ComplexCon: even famous artists visit on their own dime

G-Dragon, Kanye West, Eric Jamal—isn't it amazing that famous artists everyone's heard of at least once also visited ComplexCon? Not only did world-class artists visit in person, but some even took part in planning brand booths. G-Dragon actually collaborated with ‘WADE’—praised for crossing the boundary of digital and offline—through his own brand ‘PEACEMINUSONE.’ That famous Korean booth was built around the virtual IP ‘WADE’ presented by IPX (formerly LINE FRIENDS).

With a street-culture sensibility, the virtual artist WADE is engaged in diverse, expanded activities within the metaverse trend with a free spirit, and at ComplexCon it offered NFT experiences too, drawing people's attention. Can you feel the booth scene where an enormous balloon cheerfully welcomed everyone?! 🙄

Beyond this, ComplexCon is an event visited each year by leading fashion icons—the renowned contemporary artist Takashi Murakami, Off-White's head Virgil Abloh, and more. Thus ComplexCon is becoming the world's largest art-culture event, spanning fashion and entertainment to Web3, NFTs, and the metaverse.

Want to encounter the metaverse, NFTs, and Web3?

Remember the NFT exhibition booths at the 2022 Meta Week last October? From ‘Morphing-i,’ which leads the NFT/metaverse ecosystem based on the convergence of AI and blockchain, to ‘ALTAVA,’ a global fashion metaverse platform that LG and Sandbox are watching—Meta Week offered diverse sights. At ComplexCon 2022, too, you could meet various brands' NFT galleries and metaverse/Web3 booths. From the ‘WADE’ introduced earlier, to ‘Whatnot,’ a leader among marketplaces buying and selling popular collectibles via live streaming, and ‘Vandy The Pink,’ which makes a mark in fashion collaboration with groundbreaking customs using fast-food motifs—you could find booths of brands leading offline fashion to digital art culture.

The booths that adorn ComplexCon are broadly divided into: 1. those already leading fashion and digital-art trends, 2. emerging up-and-comers starting to trend, and 3. late-comers seeking recognition through ComplexCon. Visit ComplexCon and you can encounter all on/offline digital art culture—already ahead, rising, or about to rise, right?!

We'll keep coming back as Chris & Partners, gaining more experience and creating diverse event experiences. Thank you! 😍
