Chris & Partners' event-planning highlights
Co-hosted by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and Walk21, the Walk21 Seoul International Walking Conference ran over a total of three days, May 26–28, via live YouTube streaming under the slogan ‘Seoul, a Smart Walking City.’
Held at Seoul-On, the video-conference studio at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza opened in April 2021, this conference ran in a hybrid format combining speakers' on-site and online participation. As the conference was held at the newly opened venue, Chris & Partners identified and built additional equipment and systems in advance to run the hybrid conference.
Chris & Partners composed the sessions considering the time differences of about 70 speakers and participants connecting from Korea and across Asia, Europe, and the Americas. Also, for stable video streaming, we ran speaker technical rehearsals in advance, checked the connection environment on the day, and held on-site rehearsals, and built primary/backup internet lines during the event to prevent in advance the incidents that can occur in online-streaming-format events.
Chris & Partners, considering participants' convenience, built a Korean/English event website with a time-zoned program, program details, speaker pages, a Seoul-promotion page, and more, and ran a photo-contest event to recruit more participants.
As a result, Chris & Partners recorded about 1,000 pre-registrants and a cumulative 5,500 live-stream YouTube views, successfully holding the event.
