Client: Sahara AI
Event: TOKEN2049 Singapore 2024
Date: September 18–19, 2024
Venue: Marina Bay Sands, Singapore
Event scale: 20,000+ attendees from 150+ countries; 500+ side events during the week
Scope: Booth creation and operations for platinum sponsor Sahara AI, plus side event planning and execution
The brief
Sahara AI came to TOKEN2049 Singapore — the world’s largest cryptocurrency event — as a platinum sponsor. At that tier, the booth is not a table; it is the brand’s physical statement to 20,000+ attendees from 150+ countries. Sahara AI needed a booth that matched its platinum standing and a side event presence that cut through a week with 500+ competing events. And it needed all of it executed in a city where the client was not based.
The challenge
Two hard problems sat on top of each other. First, platinum-tier expectations: at the largest crypto event in the world, a sponsor’s booth is benchmarked against the best-funded brands in the industry — design, build quality, and on-floor operations all have to land. Second, executing internationally: delivering a booth and side events in Singapore meant sourcing and coordinating local vendors, managing build and logistics on the ground, and communicating across the gap between client and market. Get the local execution wrong and the sponsorship investment underperforms.
Our approach
Booth creation and operations. We handled the booth end to end — creation through on-site operations — so that Sahara AI’s platinum presence on the Marina Bay Sands floor was delivered and run, not just designed.
Side events. Alongside the booth, we planned and executed side events for the brand during the TOKEN2049 period — extending Sahara AI’s presence beyond the exhibition floor into the week’s wider program.
Local vendor sourcing and communication. The decisive factor in international execution is the ground game. We leaned on our blockchain-event experience to source local Singapore vendors and run the communication between them and the client — the coordination layer that determines whether an overseas activation actually comes together.
The result
Chris & Partners successfully concluded Sahara AI’s TOKEN2049 Singapore activation, delivering the platinum-sponsor booth and side events through seamless local vendor sourcing and communication — the capability that makes executing an international event possible. The engagement is one example of how we extend a brand’s presence at the world’s largest industry gatherings, on the ground, in markets where the client doesn’t have a local team.
