EMEAP Governors' Meeting: Running a Bank of Korea–Hosted International Conference
On August 7–9, 2022, the 27th EMEAP Governors' Meeting and 11th EMEAP Governors' and Heads of Supervision Meeting took place at the Shilla Seoul. Hosted by the Bank of Korea, the meeting was planned and operated by Chris & Partners as official organizer.
With about 50 participants, the scale was small — but with central bank governors attending, accuracy and calm execution were everything.

The nature of the event
EMEAP is a cooperative forum of central banks and monetary authorities in the East Asia and Pacific region. This meeting, hosted by the Bank of Korea in Seoul, came 11 years after the 2011 meeting in Jeju, and was the first in-person Governors' meeting since the onset of COVID-19. Governors of EMEAP member economies and senior representatives of the IMF and BIS attended either in person or remotely.

How it was prepared
Multiple advance site visits. To ensure stable execution, the team prepared meticulously through several advance site visits — and that preparation let the event run with composure.
In-person and remote attendance. Some attendees joined remotely. At a small, high-level meeting, small errors are visible, so the work that matters most happens before the days themselves.
