4th Jeonju World Slow Forum & Slow Award 2020

The 4th Jeonju World Slow Forum & Slow Award, held by Jeonju City under the slogan ‘The World Asks, Jeonju Answers’ and the theme ‘Happiness and a Green City,’ is an international Slow City event. What made it special was that, unlike other conferences held in dedicated studios, it took place in the lobby of Jeonju City Hall. We built a stage against the backdrop of the bookshelf-pillar library at City Hall—reminiscent of a book café—and, accordingly, set up systems to connect online with the Secretary-General of Cittaslow International in Italy and the Mayor of Freiburg, Germany, both unable to attend in person due to COVID-19. By preparing technical rehearsals in advance and pre-recording overseas speakers' case presentations, we were able to bring the 4th Jeonju World Slow Forum & Slow Award to a successful close.
